Dulux has recently released their Colour Trends for 2016. Always at the forefront of design and inspiration, Dulux has explored worldwide trend forecasts and identified four trends for their 2016 forecast.

  • Bio Fragility
  • Retro Remix
  • Infinite Worlds
  • Future Past

Inspired by natural flesh tones, the Bio Fragility palette consists of a range subtle hues, such as mossy greens, dusky pinks and lilac, and greyish blues.

Influenced by the 60s and 70s, the colours of Retro Remix explore a more youthful expression, with a new generation discovering these colours for the first time and creating their own fresh style. The palette includes strong blue, red and green, teamed with mustard, muddy browns and olive green.

The Infinite Worlds palette comprises deep, rich blues peppered with reds, pinks and corals – and even a touch of metallic. A bold palette indeed.

As the name suggests, Future Past, creates a new vision from old. Deep, rich traditional colours have been modernised with the introduction of mustard, pink and purple. A strong palette of reddy browns, green and purple.
